The site searches and displays results from Wikimedia Commons, an enormous repository of images and other digital resources.

All resources displayed in the search results on this site link directly to the resource's usage rights page. That page will help you decide whether you can use the resource elsewhere.

Searching for images here instead of going directly to Wikimedia Commons just provides a simpler interface. Search results appear in the easy-to-digest format that we've all grown accustomed to. It combines the great resources of Wikimedia Commons with the interface of Google Images.

This site was built with Python, JavaScript, and HTML + CSS + Stylus. The image background pattern is by gluszczenko. I found it at subtlepatterns.com.
